Oasis personnel are good at making appointments and not so good at keeping them. Also, they are prone to not give any info as to how to contact their people in case a victim (read accused parent) needs to cancel an appointment for any reason. Be sure, when they begin dealing with you, that you get information on how to contact the rep if you need to. They don't volunteer this information. Another thing, they have no legal right to ask you about your religion or practice of it. If they ask, thell them it;s private and none of their business. They have a tendency to act as though a person must have a church affiliation and to be active in a church in order to be an acceptable parent or caregiver. This is a violation of your Constitutional rights and is also not relevant in any way to whether or not a person is a good parent or guardian. Their counselors have a checklist of things to ask and this is one of the things on it and it shouldn't be. _________________ Our children are us and all we've shown them. |
