I have seen what seemed to me to be a thinking response to mistakes come from this office in the past. There is a chance now for the people at the regional offices to take the lead and do what they know is the right thing to do. They can step forward and help Senator Schaefer and those of us who are in this fight to save DFCS from it's self. The people who operate the local offices have made up the rules as they go along for far too long. They have employed procedures that anyone with an ounce of compassion or knowledge of child development knows are damaging to the children they are supposed to be helping. I believe there is a way to change things to be actually constructive for families and beneficial for their children and save taxpayer money at the same time. I know at least one woman there who could have enough good sense to be a leader instead of a coward.
